URBAN ADVENTURE
ic! berlin unveils its urban collection, a compilation of 3D-printed optical and sun styles inspired by the brutalist architecture movement of the mid-20th century.
And like ic! berlin’s other 3D-printed creations, the urban collection features plotic, a hypoallergenic plastic in the polyamide 12 group that has a molecular structure similar to natural silk. ic! berlin’s 3D-printed eyewear is made by Selective Laser Sintering, an additive manufacturing technique using next-generation 3D plotting and printing technology.
New textures and colors are introduced in the release, and new vario temples allow for adjustment up to 10 mm. Packaging includes a brand-new case for plotic frames, as well as a special polishing cloth.
Optical styles (Uptown and Downtown) and sun styles (Metropolis, Dystopia, and Utopia) showcase the urban collection’s sophisticated color palette with new plotic hues such as Brutal Blue and Powdered Beige.

The suggested retail price range is $559-$599.
