when her song “Stay” became a No. 1, platinum-selling single in 1994, Lisa Loeb rocketed to fame—she is one of the few artists to ever have a No. 1 single while not signed to a record contract. During her meteoric rise, Loeb became known for her signature cat-eye glasses. Since then, the Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter and mother of two has expanded her career exponentially—with several acclaimed albums, award-winning children’s CDs, an acting career, and her eponymous eyewear collection launched with Classique Eyewear in 2010. Here, Loeb chats with EB about rock + specs.
Most appealing about eyewear…
I love how eyewear can change a face: brighten it, make it (more or less) serious or studious, sexy, welcoming, or even more aloof.
Best specs trends now…
My favorite trend is interesting colors and a bit of glitter with traditional shapes.
Fav music project…
I’m so excited about my new album [“Feel What U Feel”]. It’s a collection of songs that tell stories, encourage, and entertain.
Favorite off-duty activities…
I love playing with my kids, watching movies with my husband, and reading and searching for illustrations, retro toys, and color palettes on Pinterest.
