In addition to new ophthalmic styles, the iconic Levi’s brand, one of the most recognized denim brands globally, is launching 10 modern and playful sunglass styles for a comprehensive brand assortment available from Safilo Group.
To reflect the effortless charm of the California lifestyle, the sunglasses showcase both neutrals and on-trend pops of color, with lenses in solid or fashionable gradient and mirrored tints.
The environmentally friendly, BPA-free, patented Hexetate frame material is featured in the collection, as well as offerings in lightweight metal.

Love of Sport
Oakley has teamed up with Tokyo-born, Brooklyn-based artist Meguru Yamaguchi to unveil the Kokoro Collection.
Named after the Japanese word symbolizing the fusion of “heart; mind; spirit,” the collection from Luxottica aims to unify professional and everyday athletes with completely unique designs; each individual product replicates Yamaguchi’s intricate brushstroke style.
To amplify its harmonious message, the brand announced a $200,000 donation to the World Health Organization’s Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
“The Kokoro Collection promotes the spirit of global solidarity that will be necessary to defeat this virus,” says Elizabeth Cousens, president and CEO of the UN Foundation. “We are truly at our strongest when we work together, as one team.”

FRESH CUTS
The Accessories Council announced the winners of its 2020 Design Excellence Awards, including eyewear winners: Longchamp LO2670L from Marchon Eyewear in the optical category, and the Jimmy Choo Shine/S from Safilo Group in the sunglasses category.
The De Rigo and Philipp Plein Groups have announced a licensing agreement for the creation, production, and distribution on a global scale of Philipp Plein sunglasses and prescription frames. The launch collection is expected in the second half of 2021.
Safilo unveiled its fourth annual American Eyes campaign for its Elasta and Emozioni ophthalmic collections, captured on-site at Eye Consultants P.C./Eyeoptics, an independent practice located in Omaha, NE. Practice owner Joseph W. Townley, M.D., plus colleagues Jordan J. Arens, O.D., and optician Michelle Kilby are featured in the campaign wearing new 2020 Elasta and Emozioni frames.

Boasting both Red Dot and iF Design Excellence awards, neubau eyewear’s special-edition Côte du Soleil collection from Silhouette is an innovative assortment constructed of natural3D, a 100% bio-based material printed via 3D technology.
Inspired by the South of France and the iconic French film “La Piscine,” the collection offers three posh silhouettes (including the Romy, pictured) that feature 100% UVA/UVB protection and antireflective coating.
Going Green
The Ben Sherman brand introduces its Eco Green eyewear collection from L’Amy America, created using entirely eco-conscious materials, including bio-based acetate, 100% recyclable stainless steel, and biodegradable demo lenses. Additionally, the collection’s felt pouch is crafted from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles.
The triacetate cellulose polarized sunglass lenses, produced from organic cotton and wood fibers, pass the REACH screening test for targeted SVHC (substances of very high concern) and filter 100% UVA/UVB light.
The assortment features 12 ophthalmic styles (pictured is the Fitzroy) and four sunglasses inspired by signature details of Ben Sherman apparel, including check patterns and preppy themes.
