ESSILOR
Varilux Comfort Max
Essilor launches the newest generation of its Varilux Comfort lens design: Varilux Comfort Max, its newest premium progressive lens that is, according to Essilor, designed to stretch the useful vision zone by up to 46% to bring all-day comfort and postural flexibility to PAL wearers.
“Presbyopic patients have felt the impact of the increasingly digital world perhaps more than any other lens wearer,” says Jeff Harrell, Essilor’s senior director of product marketing. “Looking from device to device across different vision zones in standard PALs or readers is exhausting.” EB editor-in-chief Erinn Morgan recently caught up with Harrell on Facebook Live to hear more about the technologically advanced design. HOYA VISION CARE
Sensity Fast
Hoya introduces Sensity Fast, designed to offer a seamless experience for wearers as they move between outdoors and indoors.
“As practices are recovering from the lack of revenue over the last several months, differentiating new technology is a great way to reengage patients,” says Eduardo Martins, president for Hoya N.A.
According to Hoya, Sensity Fast offers 77% faster fadeback from dark to clear than the original Sensity, and is more than 2.5 times clearer indoors than the original after one minute of fadeback.

INFUSE
Bausch + Lomb unveils Infuse silicone hydrogel daily disposable contact lenses, designed to help reduce CL dryness with new lens material kalifilcon A and created with proprietary ProBalance Technology.
According to B + L, the lenses offer the highest moisture content and lowest modulus among SiHy daily disposables, and they maintain 96% of moisture for 16 hours.
“Bausch + Lomb has combined an advanced material with the latest science to engineer a breakthrough new lens, designed to help maintain ocular surface homeostasis and deliver all-day comfort, addressing the unmet need of dryness associated with lens wear,” says John Ferris, VP and GM of U.S. Vision Care at Bausch + Lomb.
