HOYA VISION CARE
MySV
Hoya Vision Care has introduced the latest addition to its free-form single-vision lens portfolio, MySV.
According to the company, MySV single-vision lenses are an innovative first, as the lenses optimize peripheral vision and combine four elements to deliver one comprehensive solution:
- BKS Precision Technology, a modern optimization process that refines points across the entire back surface of the lens;
- Oblique angle compensation, designed to create distortion-free visual clarity by eliminating the aberrations that typically occur when looking through a traditional single-vision lens at an oblique angle;
- The patient’s position of wear, based on the individual’s wearing conditions;
- The patient’s frame choice, as the base curve of MySV lenses can match any frame size.
ZEISS
i.Terminal go
To offer eyecare professionals a simple first step into digital centration, Zeiss has launched i.Terminal go, a software for tablets.
i.Terminal go is a digital centration tool designed to help ECPs provide patients with customized, precise lenses. Operating through a tablet and the provided Centration Frame-Clip, the product requires no server or additional software.
According to Zeiss, the product automatically activates when the front and side images from the spectacle’s frame and Centration Frame-Clip are in the correct position. Zeiss shares that the i.Terminal go offers easy image capture, quick calculation of centration parameters, automatic face recognition, and vergence compensation technology designed to ensure parallel line of sight.
If other centration tools are already in use, i.Terminal go can work as a simple addition. zeiss.com
