ZEISS
SmartLife Young Single-Vision Lenses
Zeiss’ SmartLife lens portfolio includes designs to address the changing requirements of young wearers—SmartLife Young Single-Vision lenses.
According to Zeiss, technologies featured in all SmartLife lenses have been adapted for SmartLife Young Single-Vision lenses to meet the specific visual needs of wearers ages 6-19. Zeiss’ SmartView 2.0 technology considers young people’s visual behavior as “connected and active,” resulting in 60% wider fields of clear viewing for handheld digital devices compared with the company’s conventional single-vision lenses. To address the natural growth in pupil diameter through the age of 20, Zeiss’ Luminance Design 2.0 technology considers wearers’ age-related pupil diameter in lens calculation for optimal performance, Zeiss shares.
Developed specifically for this age group, Zeiss’ Dynamic AgeFit technology considers changes to the position of wear and frame parameters by measuring facial age-related anatomy to optimize lens design, according to the company.
20/20 NOW + VISIONIX
Tele-Optometry Platform
Visionix has integrated a line of its multimodal screening and diagnostic systems with 20/20Now’s tele-optometry platform: Visionix’s VX 40 Automatic Lens Analyzer, VX 65 Digital Phoropter, Eye Refract Binocular Refraction System, and MW 50D Digital Slit Lamp.
Tele-Optometry Powered by 20/20Now and Visionix uses an on-site optical assistant and a remote optometrist or technician who interacts with the patient via videoconferencing. Data and images from the patient’s medical history and eye exam are securely transferred to the remote ECP, who reviews the patient’s eye health via videoconferencing and finalizes the prescription.
Data is maintained for ECPs to monitor changes.
