March 17, 2021 — CooperVision recently announced its 2021 Best Practices honorees, celebrating peer-selected optometric practices across the U.S.
“Every year, we seek eyecare practices who have tackled the profession’s challenges head on. But when we launched the Best Practices program, we never could have imagined a year like 2020 and the impact it would have on optometry,” says Michele Andrews, O.D., vice president of professional and government affairs, North America, CooperVision. “We weren’t sure what we would see in this year’s applications. The stories we received were remarkable. It has been a true testament to the strength and resiliency of eyecare professionals—that they have not only made it through the hardships associated with the pandemic, but that they have embraced them to make their practices stronger than ever. And they’re ready to share their secrets to success for the benefit of others. I’m so proud to partner with these new honorees.”
Now in its sixth year, CooperVision’s Best Practices program honors optometric practices across the country that “advance the profession through innovation, industry leadership, and exceptional patient experience.” The 2021 Best Practices join 50 other previously honored optometry practices that have been profiled and supported through the initiative.
Here, CooperVision highlights its 2021 Best Practices honorees: Alamo Eye Care of San Antonio, TX; Bellaire Family Eye Care of Bellaire, TX; Blink of Albuquerque, NM; Bright Eyes of Tampa, FL; Broad View Eye Center of Broadview Heights, OH; Carbon Valley Eye Care of Frederic, CO; Clearvue Vision Center of Kent, WA; DuPage Optical of Addison, IL; Professional Eye Care Center of Niles, IL; and Socialite Vision of Palm Beach Gardens, FL (whose owner, Adam Ramsey, O.D., was the cover star of EB November/December 2020, in which he was honored as an #EBGameChanger).
CooperVision shared that all U.S. optometry practices currently fitting contact lenses were eligible for consideration in the 2021 Best Practices program. Honorees were selected by a panel of judges including past Best Practices honorees and industry leaders.
The CooperVision Best Practices will be recognized throughout the year and in an educational meeting hosted by the company.
2022 Best Practices applications will be accepted starting in the fall.
