April 1, 2021 — The Optical Women’s Association (OWA) recently hosted its latest OWA Talks podcast, with special guest and award-winning ECP Kate Hamm, O.D., senior manager of O.D. engagement at Luxottica. The OWA Talks series is hosted by optician Stephanie Espinosa and Sandra Mohr, dean of academic resources and administration at the New England College of Optometry.

In the episode, “Exploring the Wage Gap,” Dr. Hamm discusses equality and inclusivity in the workplace, negotiating, and mentoring. She explains why she is so passionate about encouraging women to become better negotiators to shrink the gender wage gap, and how to discuss salary and promotion in a professional way.
