Aug. 17, 2021 — The Vision Council and RX, co-organizers of Vision Expo, have announced that more than 275 exhibiting companies have committed to Vision Expo West, scheduled for Sept. 22–25 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.
"Following a successful Vision Expo East, we are looking forward to bringing the vision community together again and offering a vibrant atmosphere to conduct business, network, and learn,” says Fran Pennella, VP, Vision Expo at RX.
The show floor is divided into engaging “neighborhoods:” The Focus, which hosts companies involved with lens and coating technology, lens processing techniques, disease management solutions, contact lens innovations, and eyecare practice optimization (including Allergan, Novartis, and Zeiss); The Park, which offers top brands and prestigious collections (including Safilo and Marcolin); and The Union, which showcases independent eyewear design and pop-culture inspired collaborations (including Etnia Barcelona, Lafont, and Shwood Eyewear).
In addition to companies exhibiting on the show floor, luxury fashion houses and emerging boutique collections (including Thélios and Krewe) will return to The Suites across the Venetian and Palazzo hotels.
Supporting buying groups including PECAA, IDOC, Villavecchia, Vision Trends, Opti-Port, CECOP, and SNAPP will also be present at Vision Expo West.
The Seen, the main stage destination that debuted at Vision Expo East 2021, will return with special events, including the EYE2EYE Series. EB editor-in-chief Erinn Morgan will take part in the series with an interactive fashion/eyewear trends presentation on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 9:45-10:15 a.m.
On Saturday, Sept. 25, The Seen will host the Career Zone Student Lounge, a networking hub for young professionals.
Vision Expo organizers have also updated the VisionSAFE guidelines, policies based on current CDC guidelines, local public health guidance, and The Venetian Resort and Sands Expo & Convention Center protocols to help support a safe experience amid Covid-19.
“We are committed to hosting a safe and successful event in Las Vegas this September,” says Mitch Barkley, VP of trade shows and events at The Vision Council. “We are carefully monitoring the evolving health and safety protocols in Nevada and are updating our VisionSAFE protocols to adhere to the most up-to-date recommendations and guidelines. We will be updating our VisionSAFE protocols on the Vision Expo website and regularly communicating any changes to our exhibitors and attendees. Following a seamless Vision Expo East, we are confident we can bring the vision care community together again, safely.”
