Jan. 12, 2024 — CES (Consumer Electronics Show) concluded in Las Vegas, a four-day event from Jan. 9-12 hosting more than 4,000 exhibitors and 130,000 attendees. Among the thousands of exhibitors were major players and startups in the vision industry such as Hearsee Mobility, ABEye, Eastman, Gentex Corporation, Glidance, EasyClean, and Zeiss.
EssilorLuxottica made its first appearance at CES with a focus on Nuance Audio, Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, and other vision-tech-related innovations.
According to the company, Nuance Audio is a pair of eyeglasses equipped with advanced hearing technology designed for consumers with mild to moderate hearing loss. EssilorLuxottica shares that Nuance Audio will “eliminate the psychological barrier that has stood in the way of [adopting] traditional hearing aids, integrating proprietary state-of-the-art open-ear hearing technology into fashionable eyeglasses.”
Nuance Audio is expected to launch in North America in the second half of 2024.
