Jan. 3, 2024 — Bausch + Lomb is partnering with the Glaucoma Research Foundation (GRF) to launch the Faces of Glaucoma, a campaign that highlights diverse stories from patients to raise awareness of one of the leading causes of blindness worldwide.
Running through January’s National Glaucoma Awareness Month, the campaign will include educational resources designed to empower individuals to take care of their vision health. Additionally, the campaign will feature a fundraising challenge that will match every dollar raised up to $20,000 to support GRF’s research for a potential cure.
“This year’s campaign will showcase the resilience of individuals living with glaucoma and highlight that anyone, regardless of background, age, or gender can be impacted by this potentially sight-threatening disease,” says Andrew Stewart, president of global pharmaceuticals and international consumer at Bausch + Lomb.
"By casting a spotlight on the various faces of glaucoma, we hope to create a deeper understanding of the broad range of individuals impacted while reminding people that paying attention to their vision by visiting an eyecare provider annually can help preserve their vision for life," says Thomas M. Brunner, GRF president and CEO.
