May 2, 2024 — The Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA) is accepting abstracts for potential inclusion in its 2024 General Conference taking place Sept. 19-22 at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Kissimmee, FL. Selected posters will also be published in Optometry & Visual Performance.
Both members and nonmembers are invited to submit an abstract for consideration by Saturday, June 15. Selections will be based on novelty of topic and scientific merit, and complete abstracts will be due no later than Saturday, Aug. 31.
Student submissions are also welcome, and due to academic year timelines, students and residents can request an extension; these requests must also be received by June 15. The student or resident judged to have the best research project, poster, or published paper in the area of neuro-optometric rehabilitation will have a chance to earn the Gus Forkiotis Student Award and a check for $500.
Additionally, NORA is offering up to 10 students and residents with an interest in neurorehabilitation an opportunity to apply for student grants that provide full conference access and $500 in travel grant funds. To learn more and apply, click here. The deadline to apply is June 15.
