Jan. 30, 2025 — CooperVision has appointed Steven Robins as president, Americas. Robins brings three decades of experience in health care, including leadership positions at Bausch + Lomb, Johnson & Johnson, and Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. Most recently, he was managing partner and principal at New England Consulting Group, where he worked with Fortune 500 companies in the medical device, pharmaceutical, and consumer health sectors.
Susan Cotter, OD, MS, FAAO, has been awarded the Optometrist of the Year Award from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya Faculty of Optics and Optometry of Terrassa and the 2024 Springer Lectureship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. A faculty member at Marshall B. Ketchum University’s Southern California College of Optometry for over 27 years, Dr. Cotter is recognized for her research on amblyopia, strabismus, convergence insufficiency, and childhood refractive error.
The New England College of Optometry (NECO) has awarded its Distinguished Alumni title to Karen G. Carrasquillo, OD, PhD, class of 2005; Charles F. Mullen, OD, class of 1969; and Eli Peli, OD, class of 1983, for their significant contributions to the field of optometry.
