CooperVision has appointed Brenda Raphael as vice president of marketing for the Americas, where she will lead US marketing across the company's brand portfolio, customer marketing, and professional affairs. The appointment comes as the company continues to expand its marketing capabilities through data-enabled decision-making, omnichannel customer engagement, and other initiatives that are aimed at strengthening relationships with eyecare professionals, CooperVision said in a press release.
According to the company, Ms. Raphael brings more than 20 years of marketing and commercial leadership experience from global organizations including Pfizer, Bayer, Novartis, Procter & Gamble, and The Coca-Cola Company. Most recently, she worked as a marketing and business consultant where she advised organizations on brand transformation, growth strategy, and commercialization.
Steven Robins, president of CooperVision Americas, said Ms. Raphael's experience translating customer insights into growth strategies will support the company's efforts to deliver value to customers and contact lens wearers while continuing to develop its marketing organization. Ms. Raphael added in a statement that she sees opportunities to deepen customer connections, provide stronger category insights, and build a marketing organization that is "agile and future-ready."
Outside of her professional role, Ms. Raphael serves as board chair of the Alzheimer's Association of the Hudson Valley and is a member of the executive committee of The Pantry, a local food pantry. She holds an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business and a bachelor's degree from Cornell University.
