The Vision Council (TVC) has announced two featured speakers for its 2027 Executive Summit, which is scheduled for January 20–22 in San Antonio, Texas. Sebastian Terry and Heather McGowan will deliver presentations that examine human connection, leadership, and adapting to technological change. The presentations align with the Summit's 2027 theme, "Connections: The Skills Technology Cannot Replace," which focuses on the importance of interpersonal relationships and human capabilities in an increasingly digital business environment.
Sebastian Terry will present "Strong Alone, Better Together: Unlocking the Power of Human Connection," to explore how meaningful relationships contribute to business success and organizational performance. He is an author and speaker whose work focuses on collective purpose and connection within organizations. Following the death of a childhood friend, he created a bucket list centered on living with purpose. His experiences subsequently became the subject of a bestselling book, a reality television show, and documentaries featured on ESPN. Through his work with organizations around the world, Terry addresses how shared purpose and stronger relationships can influence workplace culture and team performance.
Heather McGowan will present "Solve Tomorrow's Problems: Harness Human Ingenuity to Navigate What's Next," on how organizations can draw on employees' capabilities to navigate technological developments and changing business conditions. McGowan is a futurist and former industrial designer who has worked with Fortune 500 executives on organizational change. Her background includes product design and the development of an award-winning higher education curriculum.
Additional speakers will be named in the coming weeks, including an economic expert who will present a broader economic outlook for 2027.
