Vision Expo has partnered with CEwire to launch a new virtual continuing education event that will offer optometrists 10 hours of COPE-accredited education. The event, called Vision Expo powered by CEwire, will take place October 17 to 18 and features selected sessions recorded at Vision Expo 2026 in Orlando. Speakers will return for live Q&A and interaction during the virtual event. The educational content will remain available through the end of 2026.
Proposed courses cover clinical and practice management topics including meibomian gland dysfunction and Demodex management, glaucoma case studies, glaucoma management in conjunction with cataract surgery, billing and coding, retinal disease, differentiating keratitis, and a guide to diagnosing diabetes. Scheduled speakers include Marc Bloomenstein, OD; Mark Schaeffer, OD; Jessica Steen, OD; Eric Schmidt, OD; Jerry Robben, OD; Christopher Wolfe, OD; Steve Ferrucci, OD; Mark Dunbar, OD; Mary Beth Yackey, OD; Pamela Theriot, OD; and Carolyn Majcher, OD. The full schedule is pending and sessions and speakers are subject to change.
“Vision Expo powered by CEwire is designed to complement, not replace, the in-person Vision Expo experience our community values,” said April Stackhouse, event vice president for Vision Expo, in a press release. “It's a way for ODs to stay connected to Vision Expo before our return to Las Vegas next March," she added.
Registration costs $99 for optometrists and is free for those already registered for CEwire’s annual CE program. Registrants will receive their registration fee back as a credit toward Vision Expo 2027.
Registration for Vision Expo 2027 (March 10 to 13 at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas) opens in November.
