Truly Trivex

Signet Armorlite, Inc., has expanded the Kodak progressive lens line with the availability of Kodak Concise and Kodak Precise PALs in Trivex lens material. Produced using Vision First Design, an approach that reverses the conventional PAL lens design sequence, Kodak Concise and Kodak Precise PALs offer smooth, clear, visual performance. Automating Inspection

A&R Optical Machinery, Inc., has introduced the RobControl automated inspection and finishing-blocking system for labs with a volume of over 500 finished jobs per eight-hour shift or around 60 jobs per hour. RobControl automatically measures, aligns, and applies the finish block on lenses to be edged. Objective measurement of the power, thickness, and diameter place and de-center the finish block on the lens using robotics. Santinelli International introduces Fashion Lab, a software solution by Activisu Solutions providing precision customization of rimless eyewear. Manipulating standard shape templates creates customized lens designs by utilizing advanced computer images. Fashion Lab obtains lens shape data from a tracer or an internally managed database. The database maintains a library of standard and customized shapes along with drill coordinates for three-piece mounts.
