Kenmark Group recently promoted Dale Parris to vice president of information technology. Parris began his career at Kenmark in 1992 as the MIS director. He will be responsible for maintaining the firm's state-of-the-art programming and computer system.
Bausch & Lomb has appointed Dennis O'Brien to the position of vice president global refractive surgery. He joined B&L in 1992, progressing through a variety of manufacturing and leadership positions before becoming vice president global supply chain operations for the Americas CL business.
Gerber Coburn recently appointed John Ingriselli the company's new manager of customer service and applications. He will be responsible for managing the inside technical support group as well as developing service programs.
Topcon/Optical Distributors Inter-national (ODI), has appointed
Andrew Senior Southwestern regional sales manager for the lens edging division,
covering Southern California, Arizona, southern Nevada and the Hawaiian islands.
In addition, Robert Fox was appointed the Southeastern regional sales manager
for the lens edging division, covering the states of Florida and Georgia.

AWARDS
Essilor of America has selected 17 students to be honored in the Crizal DCRP Award Program, which has been recognizing deserving optometry and opticianry students for more than 20 years. Each of the winning students received an Essilor Digital Corneal Reflex Pupilometer.
New York Eye, a Hart Specialties company, was honored by the Coleman Comp-any, Inc., as its 2005 Licensee of the Year. The company presented New York Eye with the Golden Lantern Award, for its continued commitment toward the Coleman brand.
BUSINESS UPDATES
Vistakon has launched a "Click to be Contacted" service designed to facilitate appointment scheduling for new contact lens patients. The new service will shift responsibility of scheduling from consumer to ECP.
Rudy Project received "Timeless Design" recognition from Men's Journal magazine for its Sytoon Supercomp Time Trial Helmet. Rudy also showed up in the August issue of Wired magazine, receiving top ratings from the magazine's editors for the company's Horus frame.
Optical Dynamics Corporation was issued its 150th and 151st patentsU.S. Patent # 7,074,352 and U.S. Patent # 7,079,920. Covering aspects of the company's plastic lens production technologies, the patents focus on fields of light-based lens curing and commercial application of nanotechnology.
Davis Vision, Inc., celebrated the grand opening of its newly expanded 27,000 plus square foot ophthalmic fabrication laboratory. The new lab joins Davis Vision's six additional regional laboratories.
