IC! BERLIN LAUNCHES CHILDREN'S COLLECTION

ic! berlin has rolled out a collection of glasses for children, designed by kids for kids. The new collection encompasses a total of 11 models: seven prescription glasses and four sunglasses. Each of the seven prescription models is inspired by a real child between the age of seven and 12—Gini (age 8), Merle (7), Tugay (11), Pascal (9), and Clara (12)—who selected shapes and colors and then tested and rated their own specially designed glasses. The four sunglass options are inspired by ic! berlin adult bestselling sunglass models. The ic! berlin glasses are light (10 to 16 grams), flexible, high quality, and strong in spring steel and/or acetate with flexible temples that can be individually adjusted by opticians (shortened, bent). The three acetate models are available in rust, lavender, and turquoise. The three metal models come in matte copper, gun metal, and pearl. The sunglasses are chrome. A kids' cleaning cloth comes with each frame and an audio book, Tales from Schlumperwald, is offered as a complimentary gift while supplies last.

SWITCH VISION ROLLS OUT LINE OF MAGNETIC SUNWEAR

Switch Vision has unveiled Switch, a new sports performance sunglass collection featuring a magnetic interchange lens system. Switch uses small, powerful magnets embedded in both the lens and the frame so users can swap lenses in and out quickly and easily as light conditions and activities change. "This means that performance-oriented and outdoor-active athletes will be able to see better and perform better, whatever their sport, and whatever the light conditions," says David Chute, president, CEO, and cofounder of Switch Vision. "For many people, one lens is not enough. Traditional fixed-lens sunglasses work well in some light conditions, but not others."

Switch Vision plans to sell its sunglasses in lens kits: Switch Glare Kits with a pair of optical-quality polarized sunlenses and two pairs of sports performance lenses or Switch Sun Kits with three pairs of high-function sports performance sunlenses. Each kit includes LensPods that are small, hinged, hard-shell cases that magnetically hold and protect spare lenses when not in use.
