Enhancing your lifestyle
Welcome to our latest issue of CHOICES magazine. Whatever your age, visual needs, or walk of life, we at Essilor are pleased to offer you lenses that will enhance both your vision and your lifestyle. As the world's largest manufacturer of eyeglass lenses, we have the right lens solution specifically tailored to each of your needs and desires. We understand that choosing lenses can be confusing. To help, here's a look at some solutions for every age and aspect of life.
AGES 8–18
You're active and young. Your glasses should be a positive part of your lifestyle.
■ RECOMMENDATION…
Shatterproof AIRWEAR® lenses. They're made of polycarbonate—the same material that's used to make DVDs and the face shields astronauts wear in space. And since you likely go from inside to outdoors a lot, we suggest TRANSITIONS® lenses that change from clear indoors to sunglass dark outside. You can get both AIRWEAR and TRANSITIONS when you buy ESSILOR JUNIOR™ LENSES.
AGES 25–38
You want that “dressed for success” look—especially in your glasses. You may be a contact lens wearer or have a strong prescription. You may also be bothered by bright lights during the day and when driving after dark.
■ RECOMMENDATION…
THIN lenses, with a quality NO-GLARE treatment that will both reduce reflections and help people see your eyes. Even if you don't yet need vision correction but experience visual fatigue from computer work and up-close tasks, ask about ANTI-FATIGUE lenses or COMPUTER lenses.
AGES 39–45
More often now, your glasses are less a fashion statement and more a tool to help you get things done and get more out of life. One pair is probably not enough anymore.
■ RECOMMENDATION…
DIGITALLY SURFACED lenses with a quality NO-GLARE treatment are the right choice if you spend time in the office, have a high prescription, and are bothered by bright lights. Even if you don't yet need vision correction but experience visual fatigue from computer work and up-close tasks, ask about ANTI-FATIGUE lenses or COMPUTER lenses.
AGES 46–64
By now, you likely need a prescription for reading and are more dependent on your glasses to help you maintain the healthy and active lifestyle you want and need.
■ RECOMMENDATION…
A digitally surfaced progressive lens, like VARILUX® lenses, to help you see everything near, far, and in between—without the unsightly and hard-to-see-around line that's in bifocals. Be sure to add a no-glare treatment, like CRIZAL® WITH SCOTCHGARD™ PROTECTOR, to reduce glare and help your glasses stay cleaner, longer.
■ For outdoor wear at any age, add a pair of polarized, no-glare prescription lenses like XPERIO™ lenses.
