Transitions Optical, Inc., and the American Optometric Association (AOA) have introduced the Read the Green Sweepstakes. The contest, designed to raise awareness of the importance of healthy sight for athletic performance and drive consumers to AOA members' offices, is targeting golf enthusiasts with a number of golf-related prizes. Consumers enter the sweepstakes by visiting readthegreen.com and upon entry, will be encouraged to visit their AOA optometrist to receive a validation code to enter for a more significant prize. As an added incentive to participating AOA members, doctors will also be entered to win a matching prize. Top awards include a trip to a 2011 Major Championship or the 2011 Transitions Championship, as well as a place in the Transitions Championship Pro-Am, among others. The sweepstakes will be promoted through a national advertising and promotional campaign running through Feb. 14.
