ZEAL ROLLS OUT NEW COLLECTIONS
Zeal's new line of sunglasses features styles for performance sports enthusiasts, as well as those who like to blur the line between adventure and routine. All of the line's 18 sunglasses are made of Z Resin, a proprietary bio-based material made from the oil of castor beans. “By using this novel resin, Zeal is able to use less energy in the manufacturing process, which results in reduced carbon dioxide emissions,” says John Sanchez, vice president of product development at Zeal. In addition, the frames feature Hyperion lens technology with most models available in Rx versions. All lenses feature a mellow copper color that enhances vision in variable conditions, from bright sun to clouds. Select styles feature Zeal's “My Fit Nosebridge” technology that is adjustable up to 50 percent vertically and horizontally.

WESCAN BRINGS SUPER-FLEX TO THE U.S. MARKET Wescan Optical is importing its Superflex brand to the U.S. Market. A core brand in Canada for more than 25 years, the line was launched internationally in 2009 and is now distributed in the U.S. by Classique Eyewear. Designed with real children in mind, the Superflex Kids collection is designed to stand up to wear and tear in style. “Kids today are more in tune with what's considered ‘hot and trendy,’ regardless of their age,” says Wescan creative director and vice president of product development, Beverly Suliteanu. “Frames with cartoon-like patterns are always in demand for the youngest market, but we are seeing a notable shift toward more ‘cool’ styles in the eight to 16-year-old demographic.” INFO: 866-604-5700, classiqueeyewear.com |
