CORRECTION
“A Look at Lens Materials” by Jenean Carlton, ABOC, NCLC, which was featured in the EB August issue, should have read: “When light enters a prism, it bends toward the base. Because we think of lenses as being two prisms—that is, plus lenses as two prisms placed base-to-base and minus lenses as two prisms placed apex-to-apex—light passing through a lens has a tendency to disperse or separate into its respective color components, just as it does when traveling through a prism.”
