Use these numbers to up your game in social media marketing
ever wonder if your posts, tweets, pins, and grams are reaching real people—or floating off into the black hole of the social-o-sphere?
To make sure your posts are seen and heard, it’s crucial not only to pinpoint what type of content to share but also to target just how often and when to post on your channels of choice. The right focus will build followers and yield engagement across the board.

While there may not be a magic number of times to post per day or per week for a given business or industry, there are some solid guidelines as to the best days and times to share content to maximize exposure.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT WHEN PLANNING CONTENT DELIVERY

The average tweet has a life span of 2 hours.
HOW OFTEN TO POST?
FACEBOOK: 2 posts per day, maximum! Every day, your followers are getting bombarded with tons of content from the many brands they follow. Keep your content fresh and relevant.
TWITTER: 3 to 5 tweets per day. This doesn’t include retweets and conversations. Mix your content to include a variety of information to avoid being too spammy.
LINKEDIN: 1 to 2 posts per day. As it’s a professional site, one post a day works just fine. Mix it up and add an additional post on a Tuesday or Thursday for added exposure.
WHEN TO POST?
FACEBOOK: On average, it’s best to post between 1-4 p.m. to get the most shares and clicks.
TWITTER: The peak time on Twitter ranges from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Tweets with images receive more engagement.
LINKEDIN: The best times to post to this professional site are Tuesday and Thursdays from 7-8 a.m. and 5-6 p.m. to catch the before- and after-work readers.
