TECHSHIELD KIT FOR ECPS
VSP Optics Group is offering several resources to ECPs to help them talk to their patients about its Sharper Image TechShield and the importance of filtering blue light.
Sharper Image TechShield is the first product developed by VSP Optics Group under an exclusive licensing agreement with Sharper Image.
It delivers targeted blue light protection in a proprietary, near-clear lens enhancement. Its technology provides comprehensive protection by both absorbing and deflecting incoming blue light to reduce the wearer’s amount of exposure.
A launch kit is available that features patient brochures, a blue light educational pamphlet, a countercard, a product information sheet, and a FAQ sheet to use in patient education.

SPORTS PROTECTION AWARENESS
Prevent Blindness has declared September Sports Eye Safety Awareness Month with the goal of encouraging wearing proper eye protection while playing sports.
More than 6,000 Americans suffer an eye injury related to playing basketball in one year, according to estimates by Prevent Blindness. The top five sports with the most eye injuries are basketball, water and pool activities, use of guns (air, gas, spring, and BB), baseball/softball, and football.
Liberty Sport is partnering with Prevent Blindness to provide eyecare professionals with free information and materials through the “September is Sports Eye Injury Prevention Awareness Month” campaign.
A variety of educational and promotional materials supporting sports eye safety and proper eye protection is available from Liberty Sport.

Feature an item for discount, either on a weekly or monthly basis. Each time a new item is featured, promote it as the “FALLing in love with [frame] sale.” Use social media to spread the word, and showcase the item in a central location or in your window.
COLORFUL DEALS
Incorporate the classic hues of autumn into a promotion. Choose a color to focus on each month, maybe even running a discount or a small gift-with-purchase for any frame purchased in that color.
