The National Center for Children’s Vision and Eye Health at Prevent Blindness and the National Institute for Children’s Health Quality have selected Arizona, Ohio, and Wyoming to participate in a collaborative aimed at improving the systems supporting children’s vision and eye health. The work will have a special focus on reducing the prevalence of vision problems in hard-to-reach populations of young children.

Prevent Blindness has presented Bruce Moore, O.D., professor of pediatric studies at the New England College of Optometry, with the 2016 Jenny Pomeroy Award for Excellence in Vision and Public Health at the Eye Health National Summit.
Essilor International has been ranked No. 5 in Newsweek’s 2016 Green Rankings, which assesses 500 of the largest publicly traded companies in the U.S. and abroad on their environmental performance.

Essilor of America has acquired AllAboutVision.com, a popular consumer website and information resource on a variety of topics relating to vision, eye health, and eyewear. According to both parties, neither the content nor management of the site will change.
