Futuristic Design (from left): AdlensFocuss AD1004 features first-of-its-kind Variable Power Optics lens technology (which mimics the eye’s natural dynamic behavior and gives the ability to adjust glasses for near, intermediate, and distance vision with the turn of a dial), Aspire Artistic cateye from ClearVision crafted of notably thin and light SDN-4 proprietary nylon and colored with a process similar to hydrographics (3D printing also employed in the prototype phase to reduce development time), Brioni BR0001S in color 003 from Kering Eyewear with a new, high-tech hinge, and Blake Kuwahara KAHN in grey marble frame-within-a-frame design and production concept.
Cutting Edge (from left): Club Level Designs CLD9905 from Silver Dollar Optical in ultra-lightweight and durable UTX material, iHuman FindMe F15001-0004O from MAD Vision with GPS chip to locate glasses via phone (and conversely find phone via glasses), Roger Bacon Eyewear made-to-measure 3D-printed eyewear from Eyenavision (which utilizes a biometric scanner to provide the patient’s precise facial dimensions), and Gunnar Cypher computer eyewear crafted from handmade acetate and stainless steel.
Revolutionary Vision (from left): Hackett Bespoke HEB161 from Mondottica in ultra-lightweight UTX (said to be 30% lighter than a standard frame) with riveted hinges, l.a.Eyeworks Burbank (a reissue of a radical 1988 frame design in titanium and beryllium), NanoFlex Essen in color WHFU from Etnia Barcelona crafted of a highly flexible and strong alloy (stainless steel with chrome, copper, and titanium), and OVVO Optics model 2488, a one-of-a-kind, surgical-steel-titanium composite originated from spacecraft technology plus a patented hinge that can pull a plane, according to the company.
