Are You Game?
i have a passion for sports. I love to bike, run, ski, surf, climb, hike, and even standup paddleboard. If you can get outside, be on the water or in the mountains, get a little dirty, and work up a sweat, pretty much count me in.
I also have a passion for sports eyewear. Prior to joining Eyecare Business as editor-in-chief six months ago, I worked on assignment as the Sunglass Test Director for the fast-growing, Consumer Reports-style gear review website GearInstitute.com, launched by former Outside magazine editors. I have literally tested hundreds of pairs of performance sports sunglasses over the years—and I am continually impressed with the incredible performance-enhancing technology, frame design, high-tech lens designs, and R&D that’s packed into each pair.
The takeaway: There has never been a better lineup of sports eyewear out there to fill your patients’ needs, no matter what their sport, visual challenge, or style preference.
