“Emojis are helpful in connecting us emotionally to others, whether they are families, friends, or patients,” says Bridgitte Shen Lee, O.D., of Vision Optique in Houston, TX. “Our practice and I have been using them in our various social media posts, especially with education on UV protection, dry eye disease, and digital eye strain. Emojis can add a fun aspect to the educational content.”
