EYENAVISION
Chemistrie Color
Eyenavision introduces Chemistrie Color, a new lens for individuals with color blindness, or color vision deficiency (CVD).
HUE.AI, an optical lens developer for CVD patients, created the lenses using an artificial intelligence model designed to replicate the vision of CVD patients.
Chemistrie Color is available in three variations: an outdoor, stronger sun lens for severe CVD; a moderate, outdoor sun lens for less severe CVD; and a lightly tinted indoor lens. Each is available to ECPs as an ultrathin Chemistrie clip custom made to fit any frame, a ready-made pair of glasses, or as plano uncut lenses.
“We believe an on-demand application is the preferred option for those with CVD who also wear prescription lenses,” says Eyenavision CEO Joe Zewe. “For those who do not wear prescription glasses, our ready-made sunglass style is an excellent choice.”
SHAMIR
Relax Lens Design Additions
Shamir Insight, Inc., has launched two additions to its Shamir Relax single-vision lens portfolio geared toward digital lifestyles. In addition to the newly upgraded Relax 65, Relax 50 and Relax 80 have been released to provide a customized lens for any single-vision wearer.
According to Shamir, the lens provides just enough add power in the lower part of the lens—enough to relieve eye strain, providing patients with fatigue relief without distortion or swim, wrapped up in a Freeform design. Through Shamir Relax, patient lens accommodations will be reduced by up to 30%, says the company.
RCPV points (of Shamir’s rewards program) for Relax will be increased by 1.75x through March 2021.

OptiSource will continue to offer the optical industry this space-saving product under a new name: Easy-Up Retractable Mirror.
“Besides gaining back my valuable counter space to make more frames visible, the Swinger mirror is a great conversation starter,” says optician Kelly Shaffer, inventor of the mirror.
“Kelly’s invention is loved by masses across multiple industries,” says OptiSource’s Daryl Squicciarini. “Customers rave about the utility, design, and style of the mirror—made 100% in the USA.”
