Child Care.
Entrepreneur, @GlamOptometrist, #EBGameChanger, and founder of GlamBaby, Arian Fartash, O.D., noticed a decided lack of eyecare products designed specifically for children.
So, while pregnant with her daughter, she launched GlamBaby Eye Care—over-the-counter products that address common eye hygiene issues in a fuss-free, kid-centric way.
The product range includes aptly named options such as Eye Boogie Cleansing Spray (pictured), which Dr. Fartash says clears away crusty, gooey eyes while offering protection against conditions like conjunctivitis, pink eye, and styes. The tear-free, wipe-free, nontoxic eyelid cleansing spray can be used in combination with GlamBaby’s other offerings—the Unbearable Bump Kit and the Tear Duct Massager.
According to GlamBaby, the Tear Duct Massager works to clear clogged tear ducts by allowing more direct contact on the tear gland—safe for use with or without the eyelid cleaning spray. And, to treat existing or reoccurring styes while supporting overall eye hygiene, Dr. Fartash shares that the Unbearable Bump Kit pairs the eyelid cleansing spray with a child-sized washable gel heat eye mask—sure to win points for kids with its fun panda-face design.

What's the State of Managed Vision Care?
The Vision Council’s recent report, Focused inSights 2023: Managed Vision Care (MVC), unpacks the state of managed vision care today, exploring plan comparisons, associated costs, purchasing behavior, and more.
One key takeaway is that, when it comes to plan satisfaction, 86% of respondents across all MVC plans intend to keep their coverage next year, and those with employer-sponsored plans were the most satisfied with their experience.
Respondents also reported the main drivers in choosing an eye-care provider as being in-network, conveniently located, and having good reviews. Also, those with MVC plans are more likely to purchase their eyewear at the same place they had their exam.
