EssilorLuxottica announces Varilux Immersia, an occupational lens designed to help presbyopic wearers maintain comfort and visual clarity during prolonged near- and intermediate-vision tasks.
Varilux Immersia lenses are available in two versions: Varilux Immersia mid, optimized for vision up to 5 feet, and Varilux Immersia room, for vision up to 10 feet. Both designs provide expanded near and intermediate fields of view, helping users maintain a natural posture and reduce digital eye strain by providing up to 76% wider areas of sharp vision in the near zone compared with standard progressive lenses, according to EssilorLuxottica.
Developed through ergonomic analysis and artificial intelligence-powered digital twin simulations, the lenses are designed to optimize visual performance across multiple near-range distances, including smartphone, computer, and conversational viewing zones. Additionally, the lenses incorporate W.A.V.E. 2.0 technology to refine visual quality under varying lighting conditions by controlling high-order aberrations.

Designed to deliver enhanced visual acuity for patients with complex refractive conditions, including astigmatism, keratoconus, and postsurgical irregularities, Asana lenses are available with Bausch + Lomb’s EZ-Exchange Warranty Program, which offers unlimited lens remakes for 120 days.

ABB Optical Group introduces Avulux Migraine and Light Sensitivity to ABB Labs’ portfolio of lens designs.
Engineered to filter specific wavelengths of light to assist individuals who experience migraine and light sensitivity, Avulux lenses feature a multiband precision optical filter that blocks up to 97% of blue, amber, and red light while allowing soothing green light to pass through, according to the company.
