May 28, 2020 — Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, many companies in the industry and beyond are sharing their efforts to help eyecare professionals, and the public, weather these turbulent times.
Here, we share a roundup of some recent initiatives:
ABB Optical Group introduced ABB Revitalize, an eyecare recovery initiative for ECPs as they recover lost business due to Covid-19.“We want all ECPs to know that we at ABB are here to help, regardless of which phase of recovery a practice is in, and we’ll be here to make them stronger once they have recovered,” says ABB CEO Tom Burke. “With ABB Revitalize, customers will have access to strategic insights, intuitive resources, and special offerings to help them grow revenue and reduce expenses. This isn’t about just recovery. This is about being even stronger than before.” For more information: abboptical.com.
ClearVision Optical (CVO) continues its #EyecareStrong message of strength and unity, sending #EyecareStrong silicone bracelets to customers and friends within the industry to demonstrate the organization’s support for local ECPs and the optical industry. CVO also recently launched a digital guidebook on reopening after Covid-19. The company’s online resource center launched in March.
Shamir is helping ECPs offer solutions to their patient base, partnering with select frame distributors and labs to launch the Better Together package, designed to increase patient sales with specific promotional offerings.
“While we, along with the rest of the world, are trying to recover, our priority is our customers,” says Richard Dailey, Shamir’s VP of sales and business development. “Our ECPs are starting to reopen, and Shamir will be there to support them. Thanks to our partnerships with a variety of frame companies, the Better Together Package will help generate business for the ECP, and is financially viable for the patient as well.”
