May 17, 2023 — AOAExcel, a member benefit of the American Optometric Association (AOA), is hosting a workshop for optometrists, “Recent Retirement Plan Changes: What Optometric Practice Owners Need to Know,” set to take place Wednesday, May 24, at 8 p.m. ET.
 
Open to AOA members, the webinar will be hosted by retirement program specialist Nathanael Kelley of Equitable Financial, who will offer insight on the new Secure 2.0 Act and provide optometrists answers to retirement-related questions.
 
Attendees will learn how they can use retirement plans to reduce taxable income, what recent changes in Secure Act 2.0 mean for their retirement, how offering a retirement plan to employees can benefit their optometric practice, how to understand administrative costs, and how AOA members can receive a free retirement planning consultation.
