Sept. 26, 2023 — Gibaplast, a specialty compounder specializing in cellulose ester processing, has announced it will offer Eastman Tenite Renew, a more sustainable version of Tenite cellulose acetate propionate (CAP), a popular material choice within the eyewear industry.
 
As a ISCC PLUS-certified company, Gibaplast ensures traceability of recycled content for verifiable sustainability claims. Gibaplast shares that Eastman Tenite Renew adds more than 20% certified recycled content to the existing bio-based content of Tenite CAP without comprising the material’s quality and performance. The new material enables injecting molding efficiency with the adjustability and comfort of acetate eyewear frames.
