March 12, 2024 — Marcolin has earned the gender equality certification by the certification bodies accredited with Accredia. The acknowledgment considers six assessment areas that characterize an inclusive and gender-responsive organization: culture and strategy, governance, human resources processes, opportunities for the growth and inclusion of women in the company, equal pay for both genders, and parenting support and work-life balance.
Demographic data reveal that 62% of Marcolin’s employees are women, with 40% in managerial positions and 50% in executive roles.
For this achievement, the company cites its implementation of several diversity, equity, and inclusion-focused initiatives over the past few years, including advanced corporate welfare policies to facilitate work-life balance, focus groups dedicated to new mothers, and a confidential psychology service that is open to all employees daily.
Additionally, Marcolin launched the Leadership Academy and introduced a session dedicated to women’s leadership.
"Our journey starts from afar, where diversity, equity, and inclusion are considered strategic levers for business development and the promotion of an equitable and gender-friendly culture,” says Marcolin human resources director Sabrina Paulon.
The certifying body also considered Marcolin’s strategic plan through 2025 dedicated to initiatives to promote gender equality in recruitment processes and career development, support for parenting and work-life balance, and the appointment of a gender equality officer who will monitor the plan’s progress.
