| Conceptual artwork merges with frame design in a collaboration between artist Emily Roysdon and l.a.Eyeworks. The frame is one of several unique projects inaugurating the 30th anniversary of l.a.Eyeworks. The startling expression "Surprise…you're pregnant," an exclamation point, and a question mark, encircle the frame front, with "Pow Pow Power" on the temple arms in a hand-drawn font. Launched in an edition of 50, the frame will be available exclusively through select retailers nationwide and l.a.Eyeworks stores in Los Angeles. The frames are suitable for Rx or sunlenses. "As an eyeglass wearer myself," says Roysdon, "the project became a way to make the functional design object a literal frame to provoke conversations about how we read and approach each other."
