SKATER SENSATION

Nike Vision unleashes its first-ever SB optical styles and three new sunglass styles from Marchon.

Designed with key insight from professional skateboarders, the new collection emphasizes sporty appeal with ultra-light profiles and a street-inspired aesthetic found in the brand’s shoe and apparel collections.

Nike SB professional skaters Justin Brock, Sean Malto, and Trevor Colden will rock the new eyewear, which is designed to transition from the skate park to everyday wear with its secure fits.

“Growing up skating with glasses was pretty normal because I wore glasses ever since the sixth grade, which was when I started skating,” says Brock, pictured in Nike SB style 7111. “The earlier challenges of skating with glasses was figuring out how to keep them from falling off. What I like most about the Nike Vision SB glasses is that they are stable and lightweight with a bunch of different frames and colors for your overall style.”

MAKING WAVES

Costa debuts a new acetate collection of sunglasses, offering four new frames in colorways inspired by coastal life.

The Aransas, Del Mar, Sarasota (pictured), and May frames are made from high-quality Mazzucchelli acetate and feature a 6-base design and five-barrel hinges for optimal coverage and fit.

Frames in the new collection make waves with a custom galvanized corewire with a topographical, oceanic-inspired pattern.

“Costa first debuted acetates early in our history, but we haven’t had a collection in this material since the 1980s. These new pieces have been extremely rewarding to curate and design,” says John Sanchez, VP of product development at Costa. “Quite simply, we can do things with colorways and design that we can’t do using other materials.”
