Brendel Rolls Out Basix

Youthful shapes, bright colors, and whimsical temple designs characterize Brendel's new Basix collection. The six-style frame line targets a young audience, ranging in age from 20 to 30. All frames are made in Germany and feature metal frame fronts with colorful zyl temples. Some of the colors include mint green, blue, purple, plum, and red. The wholesale price for each frame is $65. "This new collection rounds out our frame assortment by appealing to Gen Y and Gen Xers through unusual temples and bold color," says Kathy Guido, public relations manager for Brendel. B. Robinson Introduces Rowley Girl

Knowing teenage girls are always ready and willing to open their wallets in the name of fashion, B. Robinson has introduced Rowley Girl, which is a bridge offshoot of its original Cynthia Rowley line. The collection is made up of seven styles that come in three colors each. Frame shapes are scaled down for the teen market, and come in pillow, cateye, or rectangular silhouettes. Colors include soft pink, burgundy, brown, amethyst, and teal. Many of the styles have spring hinges and extra solder points for teen use. Each frame comes with a cool lime green or pink hard case. L'Amy Launches Jeep Kids

Riding on the success of the Jeep eyewear adult collection, L'Amy has now extended the line to children. Called Jeep Kids, the new collection offers everything consumers have come to expect from a Jeep vehicle: Ruggedness, style, and durability. Frames are made of sturdy monel and all come in fun colors such as chocolate, cherry red, grass green, and blue jeans.
