Logo of the Americas Launches Harry Potter
The magical tales of author J.K. Rowlings' Harry Potter novels have captivated the imaginations of kids around the world. Once this orphan-destined to become a great wizard-hit the big screen and broke box office records with a $90.3 million opening weekend, Harry Potter mania took off like Potter's own flying broomstick. Riding on Harry Potter's rocketing fame, Logo of the Americas has launched a children's eyewear collection under the same name. The line is targeted to kids ages 4 to 12 and is comprised of 10 styles. Many frames feature a reversible logo on the temple that can be exposed or hidden to replicate the way Harry Potter quick-changed his own dual identity from a regular "muggle" kid to a wizard-in-training. Other frames have a glow-in-the-dark ball inserted on the temple tips. Most frames wholesale for $39.95. The signature round frame with silver bridge worn by the Harry Potter character in the movie wholesales for $42.95. Each frame comes inside a Harry Potter "book" case, and there's a free magic wand that is offered with every frame purchase. Point-of-purchase materials include a hanging owl mobile, posters of Harry Potter book covers, and a reading board. For information, call 800-556-5646.
