Embracing the Check
Yearly Logo
By Vision Council of America
The award-winning Check Yearly. See Clearly. (CYSC) logo was designed to remind Americans about the importance of routine eye exams. Most eyecare professionals agree that the vision community is not doing enough to educate patients on vision health. This is why eyecare professionals, retailers, and other vision organizations have embraced the logo and are widely using it to help educate America on the importance of regular vision care.
Independent practitioners use the logo in their storefront windows, on Websites, in advertisements, and in other promotional pieces. The logo has also been used more creatively on items ranging from bookmarks all the way up to large billboards.
Optometrist Linh Hoang-Braley of Arlington, Va., included the logo in her recent Valu-Pak advertisement (shown above right).
Retailers such as Pearle Vision and Texas State Optical feature the logo on their Websites. Other retailers, including Today's Vision, with 50 Texas locations, incorporate the logo into their advertising. The piece inset to the right was used in a circular ad in The Houston Chronicle.

The Check Yearly. See Clearly. logo has been placed in advertisements by a number of Vision Council of America members to promote the campaign and support efforts to raise eyecare awareness |
In addition, many of the Vision Council of America (VCA)'s members include the logo in their marketing to promote the campaign to consumers and eyecare professionals. In addition, manufacturers Essilor, Sàfilo, and Invicta (below left) are just some of the numerous VCA members that use the logo.
Eyecare Business also uses the logo and recommends that all its advertisers and readers do the same. According to Eyecare Business publisher Dan Marsh, "One of the most effective ways to [raise vision health awareness] is to incorporate the Check Yearly logo into our advertising."
We invite you all to join in. The CYSC logo can be downloaded for free at
