EUROPTIK EYEWEAR ANNOUNCES KARAVAN

Karavan has been a popular Europtik Eyewear collection since its creation, 15 years ago. Now, Karavan is available for children. The collection includes an array of unique colors and fun shapes. Frames are available in a range of hues like violet, pink, ochre, hard blue, and olive. Shapes include square, rectangle, oval, and hexagonal. There are 10 frame styles in both metal and plastic.
The Karavan collection is known for original shapes, minimalist design, and previously unexplored color ranges, explains Tom Clayton, president of Europtik. The company thought it was important to offer these same elements for kids.
"With the desire to offer affordable and different styles, Europtik is using its creative know-how to pass on the Karavan spirit to younger customers," says Clayton. "Design is for everyone and children also want to wear original products, fashion, and styles."

JONATHAN CATE EYEWEAR INTRODUCES LITTLE

Following the success of his adult collection, Jonathan Cate has launched two basic lines of children's frames: "Little Moods" and "Ricochet." Little Moods includes 10 hand-cut zyl frame styles. Ricochet is a flexible titanium collection with hand painting on many of the 10 styles, plus six titanium styles with magnetic clips.
"I started the line because I felt today's children needed high fashion designer frames just like their parents," says Jonathan Cate.
"Kids are much more 'in the know' than we were at that age," says Cate. "And so I wanted to give them something that was colorful and cheery, but also high fashion."

Marcolin has introduced Timberland Eyewear's Kids Collection consisting of 16 styles targeted to boys ages seven to 13. Nature, culture, and craft are the overall concepts behind the Timberland brand, and the same ideas translate to the kids eyewear.
