Amber Decaprio of Younger Optics

PEOPLE

Amber Decaprio has joined Younger Optics as a retail lens consultant for Southern California. Decaprio will lend support to dispensaries, educating managers and staff.

Signature Eyewear has named Dana L. Michalke as a national sales manager. In addition, Jill Gardner, Kevin Seifert, and Raul Khantzis have all been named senior vice presidents. Gardner returned to the company in 2002 while Seifert joined in 1998 and Khantzis in 2003.

Bausch & Lomb vice president and special advisor Joseph C. Salamone, PhD, was elected a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering in Washington, D.C. Salamone was elected for outstanding achievements in medical and biological engineering.

Michelle Tiganila is the new vice president of sales at Allison USA. Tiganila will be responsible for managing the optical and retail sales team, as well as overseeing national accounts.

Reichert, Inc., has acquired the tonometry product lines of Medtronic, Xomed, a business unit of Medtronic, Inc. The acquisition strengthens Reichert's role as a leader in tonometry.

Practical Systems, Inc. (PSI), celebrates its 35th anniversary. In 1971, PSI introduced the first aluminum lap. Today, AlumaLap remains the core of PSI's tooling business. However, the company has also added plastic and CNC barstock laps in order to fulfill industry needs.
