In 1991, the A/X Armani Exchange brand was launched. It sought to define a new dress code with a collection that took its cues from the urban lifestyle and the music culture. Keeping in sync with the fashion-forward brand, Sàfilo Group has launched the Armani Exchange ophthalmic collection. The collection includes both acetate and metal styles with the iconic A/X logo incorporated throughout. The men's styles offer a predominance of rectangular shapes with a variety of softer rectangles comprising the selection of feminine frames.
"We are truly excited about the launch of the A/X ophthalmic line," says Dick Russo, executive vice president of Sàfilo USA. "We have had phenomenal success with the A/X sunglass launch and are confident that the A/X name will resonate just as strongly with our optical customers and consumers alike."
