MARCOLIN PRESENTS DSQUARED2 LINE
DSquared2 Eyewear is the latest collection launched by the Marcolin Group. Canadian twins and creators of DSquared2, Dean and Dan Caten have assembled a wardrobe of sunglasses inspired by the 70s hip hop culture. Known for their unique and influential designs, the twins deliver a collection consisting of 16 styles for men and women who are aiming to be fun and fashion forward.
Born in Ontario, Dean and Dan Caten moved to New York City in 1983 and attended Parson's School of Design. In 1991, the design pair moved to Italy and in 1994 presented their first men's collection.
Today, they live in London but design in Milan for a chic and sophisticated audience that enjoys sexy, provocative details. Their designs blend the irreverence of the new world with the detailing and tailoring of the old world. Tapping into the worlds of music and fashion, they designed the wardrobe for Madonna's 2002 Drowned World Tour and have fans in Lenny Kravitz, Justin Timberlake, and Robbie Williams.

RUDY PROJECT LAUNCHES RX COLLECTION
Rudy Project has introduced the newly developed Slicer and Helium ophthalmic eyewear collections, each boasting highly engineered frame materials and contemporary fashion-inspired designs, making these models a hot item in optical practices for 2010.
"As the leader in Rx sports—a very technical and complicated area of the prescriptive eyewear industry—it is only natural for Rudy Project to extend our technical performance heritage to street wear," says Paul Craig, president and co-founder of Rudy Project North America. "With Slicer and Helium, Rudy Project is introducing a line of lightweight ophthalmics that draw heavily from our technical performance models in sport while showing off our Italian side with fashion designs pulled right off the runways in Milan."
The Slicer is available in a half-rimless design made of lightweight aluminum in two shapes. A flip-up sunglass lens may be purchased separately as well as replacement temple tips and logo plaques in three colors.
The Helium features an ultra-thin stainless steel frame construction in four variations: Fullrim and rimless versions, each in two shapes.
Both groupings have 360-degree, fully adjustable temples.
