The lace tradition is interpreted in this collection, thanks to the hand-made inlaying of real lace inside the eyewear frame. The sunglasses collection includes four styles with either 80s-inspired or enveloping shapes, all produced in four colors: black, white, scarlet, and green.The optical collection is composed of styles which vary from ‘cat-eye', 50s-inspired shapes, to more classic and geometrical shapes. The styles that have been produced with inlayed lace throughout the entire frame are presented in an exclusive case that is also covered in lace and decorated with gold and silver plaque with the Dolce&Gabbana logo. Great attention to detail is notable for the entire collection: The logo and the tips of the frame are in gold-plated metal. In addition to the high-fashion considerations of the collection, the sunglasses in this grouping are prescription ready. The advertising campaign for sunglasses features Naomi Campbell as a protagonist, in pictures shot by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The case for the Absolute Luxury models (DG 3116 and DG 4116) is covered with black lace and decorated with the signature gold-colored Dolce&Gabbana plaque, the same that has been used for the Miss Sicily bag—the fashion house's must-have bag since 2009.
