KIO YAMATO UNVEILS LEGO COLLECTION
Lego's mission is to inspire and develop individuals to think creatively, reason systematically, and ultimately to release their potential to shape their own future.
This standpoint coincides with Kio Yamato's aim for quality and creativity. The pair is now partnering for a collection of Lego Eyewear.
This innovative line is geared toward tweens, children, and adults with small PDs.
The frame fronts are created with hypoallergenic stainless steel and the color coating is baked on twice, a process that reinforces the quality of the frame.
The temples are TR90 with an inner metal end-tip core for adjustments and comfort. TR90 is a hypoallergenic polymer that has an inherent flexible characteristic that adds to the comfort of any active individual.
The line portrays an array of colors and shapes that are appealing and emphasize that wearing glasses can be fun as well as practical, company representatives say.

MODO LAUNCHES POC EYES COLLECTION
Modo Eyewear has partnered with Swedish sportswear firm POC for a new sunwear collection. POC's goal is to do everything they can to possibly save lives and to reduce consequences of accidents for gravity sports athletes by developing and renewing personal protection.
In many ways, POC has already set a new standard when it comes to technical solutions, construction, material combinations, and engineering with patented solutions to increase the degree of protection.
Their products have been tested by top world gravity sports athletes.
The new collection of sunglasses for men and women use NXT lenses, which were initially developed for fighter jet canopies. These lenses offer extreme impact, temperature, and chemical resistance, together with superior optical performance compared to the existing technologies, such as polycarbonate.
Currently, the collection is offered at three lens levels:
BASIC: Anti-scratch and anti-reflective coating which reduces reflections and improves visual comfort during bright sun conditions. Hydrophobic and oleophobic treatments repel water, moisture, grease, finger prints, and dust.
IMPROVED: Anti-scratch and anti-reflective coating. Hydrophobic and oleophobic treatments, polarized or photocromic or HCD or combination of two of them. These intensify natural color contrast, improve reaction time in transition of light and shadow, and provide 100 percent UVA, UVB, and UVC protection.
OPTIMIZED: For ski/snow: HCD with photocromic adjusted towards dark tint for glacier use and contrast-increasing tint.
Bike/outdoor: HCD with photocromatic and polarized with lighter “darkest mode” than a neutral gray/tint.

CLASSIQUE EYEWEAR PRESENTS LISA LOEB EYEWEAR COLLECTION
Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter Lisa Loeb's signature cat-eye glasses have inspired a namesake collection from Classique Eyewear. The initial collection launches with 13 frame styles for every look and occasion, in up to four color variations per style. The Lisa Loeb Eyewear collection includes classic pieces in black and tortoise shell as well as embellished temples accentuated with rhinestones and etchings. Each frame is named after one of Loeb's songs and constructed In two- and three-color zyl laminates. Colors range from neutral tones to rich turquoise, lavender, lemon ice, and cherry red.
Loeb says, “When designing the glasses, I felt strongly about giving the frames the upward sweep often found in classic cat-eyed frames. This design element is flattering; it lifts the face and avoids the droopy eye effect. My eyewear generally has a cat-eyed look. Think sexy librarian, not retro grandma.”
For eyecare professionals who purchase 12 of the 13 initial styles, Classique Eyewear will include the 13th style free, and include an elegant branded countertop frame display that holds all 13 frame styles.
Other point-of-sale display items that are available for in-store merchandising include Lisa Loeb logo name plates, five-frame flat tray counter displays, and a set of three countercards with pictures of Lisa Loeb.
