SAFILO PRESENTS TOMMY HILFIGER SUNWEAR
The Tommy Hilfiger eyewear collection is back, manufactured and distributed by Safilo Group. The collection embodies the neo-preppiness of the Tommy Hilfiger brand. The eyewear has been designed with a traditional yet modern feel that reflects Tommy Hilfiger's classic American cool style.
“The Tommy Hilfiger sunglass collection offers both a modern edge as well as a vintage appeal. The brand is distinguished by its American spirit, which is embodied in this classic collection of aviators and plastic frames using sophisticated multi-laminate acetates with touches of Tommy Hilfiger's signature red, white, and blue,” says Ross Brownlee, COO of Safilo Americas. “The timing for the sunwear launch couldn't be more relevant considering the incredible renaissance the brand is currently experiencing.”
The collection includes 15 sunglass styles: 12 male/unisex styles, and three female styles. There are nine plastic styles, one metal offering, and five plastic/metal combination styles in aviator shapes, vintage-inspired silhouettes, oversized acetate frames, modern metal looks, a metal shield, and a smaller sporty acetate style. The collection offers classic hues such as black and havana as well as playful and iconic colors, including red, pink, white, and blue.
The point-of-purchase options for the new collection include 5″ x 7″ countercards, 24″ x 48″ banners, posters, a one-place highlighter, a three-place display, and a six-place tray, as well as a logo plaque.

A NEW PAGE FOR ERNEST HEMINGWAY
Hemingway once said, “When people talk, listen completely. Most people never listen.” So with requests coming in for more options in retro-inspired fashion, New York Eye is launching the Ernest Hemingway brand of ophthalmic eyewear.
The initial product launch will feature up to a dozen plastic frames in black and tortoise combinations including vertically demarcated crystal colors. Many of the styles have temple and front hinge plaques and/or rivet designs. Vintage-inspired forms are meticulously crafted to appeal to the style-minded 20-and-up male and female segment.
A companion hard metal case with faux distressed leather and signature plaque will round out the classic look of this American icon's branding.
A great accessory to accompany this season's vintage stylings, Hemingway eyewear reflects a beckoning back to true Americana and the author's adventurous and romantic way of life. “Hemingway was a true American original, with a signature style all his own,” notes Arthur Jankolovits, New York Eye's president and CEO. “We'll be establishing the brand with a cool retro look to appeal to both men and women who identify with the multi-faceted aspects of this iconic celebrity's legendary lifestyle.”

The color black is a fashion staple, adding sophistication, edginess, and elegance to a wide range of fashion looks. Europa International's latest addition to the Cinzia Ophthalmic lineup taps into this trend-setting hue with the Cinzia Black line. The 10-piece acetate ophthalmic eye-wear collection for men and women makes a powerful statement in a singular color. With each frame created in the namesake black color, the grouping features striking shapes and graphic temple treatments that define this line and keep these styles from fading into the background. The collection's point-of-purchase package picks up on the drama and beauty of the frame designs. The promotional materials include a wood-framed display, logo plaque, and countercard that come with orders of the 10-piece kit. INFO: 800-621-4108, europaeye.com |
