1 Persol Roadster Edition

The Persol Roadster Edition from Luxottica is dedicated to four-wheel heroes, those behind the wheel whose legendary efforts opened horizons and showed the world what it means to drive with style.

The collection is a tribute to the earliest gentleman drivers and their epic races that in the early 1900s captured the imagination of the world. The Persol Roadster Edition features two sunglass models, each one available in five different color combinations. The shapes and styles are inspired by the original Roadster design for Persol, which is historically linked to the world of design thanks to its long tradition in Italian engineering.

The editions are targeted toward car and eyewear aficionados and collectors able to appreciate the brand's essence and quality. The company likens the designs to “A racing car whose hood is adorned with great pipes, like serpents of explosive breath—a roaring car that seems to ride on grapeshot is more beautiful than the Victory of Samothrace,” as described in the Manifesto of Futurism published in “Le Figaro” in 1909.

Safilo USA has launched Carrera X-cede sunlenses—powered by NXT lens technology, now available exclusively in a new prescription-ready Carrera sunglass collection.

X-cede lenses combine technology with the collection's most popular vintage styles to provide trendy sunglasses with prescription strengths and polarized lenses.

Carrera's proprietary Rx lens blanks are not available in any other brand, only through the Carrera X-Cede authorized lab network and Carrera X-cede professional optical authorized retailers.

Carrera has licensed a select national network of optical labs to handle the Rx processing, available in polarized single vision and polarized free form progressive, plus backside AR and oleophobic front surface coating for optimal performance.

A total of 12 new Carrera styles will specifically accommodate the new lenses.

The grouping's three models, 6770K, 6771K, and 6772K, have artistically made, handcrafted fronts that are boldly distinct. The temples are tri-injected with three colors that vary from model to model. Model 6770K is available in black, brown, and dark red and is offered in 57/18-140.
