Viva Rolls Out Harley Diva Collection
Viva International Group introduces Harley Diva, a new collection from Harley-Davidson Eyewear. The debut collection includes 12 ophthalmic styles and four prescription-ready sunglass styles featuring a variety of ornate temple treatments, targeting strong, independent, professional women 35 to 55 years old.
“Women have always been part of the Harley-Davidson family, and most recently have been identified as the fastest-growing market segment for this brand,” says Liz Tontodonati, Viva's general manager for the Harley-Davidson brand. “After spending years on the back of her man's Harley, she has come into her own and we want to make sure that this brand-loyal customer has the eyewear to complete her lifestyle needs.”
Key styles from the optical collection include metal, plastic, and combination frames with lasered and stone detailing. The sunglass collection features a selection of bold styles, with bling-factor and rider-designed looks. All of the sunglass styles are prescription-ready and provide 100 percent UV protection, with either polycarbonate or CR39 lenses, depending on the specific style.
New marketing materials include countercards, a mirror, a logo plaque, and a two-piece merchandising kit. The ophthalmic collection also features a specially designed case and cleaning cloth with the signature Harley Diva Rose logo, as well as a cleaning cloth for the sun collection, featuring the Harley-Davidson Heart and Rose logo.

Marcolin Unveils Swarovski CollectionSince its creation in 1895, Swarovski has revolutionized the process of cutting crystal. Thanks to its unique crystal know-how and constant striving for excellence, the company has carved out its identity as an authority on jewelry, fashion accessories, decorative objects, watches, and now with a collection of ophthalmic eye-wear and sunwear with Marcolin.Light itself is distilled in this collection, reflected, diffracted, and diffused by the cut crystals, says Nathalie Colin, creative director at Swarovski, “Rather than going the easy route with an abundance of stones and sparkle, I was inspired by the way in which faceted crystal conveys light. This collection celebrates the beauty of changing light, capturing it in designs that evoke, with total clarity, the architectural language of crystal.” Crystal is worked into each pair in the collection, with effects ranging from subtle hints to strong sparkling statements. Colin adds, “A pair of glasses is a fashion statement in its own right. As creative director, the esthetic vision that I have developed for our jewelry lines has naturally been revisited in this collection of glasses, which are brought to life by details inspired by the iconography of the Swarovski brand. We have taken particular care with the colors, making much use of gradation and subtle tones such as nudes and pastels, which appear on the frames, lenses, and arms of the glasses to create a sophisticated harmony of shades.” The collection offers three different themes. The first concentrates the quintessence of Swarovski style with sparkle and drama. Sensual, elegant, and timeless: these three words sum up the second group in this collection. Recognizable by their rounded forms and wide arms, these glasses have a sophisticated allure. The final group is comprised of aviator sunglasses, a modern classic. On-trend, they are easy to wear for any occasion. Using pure lines, slender frames, and subtle styling, Swarovski has taken these typically unisex sunglasses and infused them with feminine delicacy.
